Job Description
The Leinweber Center For Theoretical Physics (LCTP) at the University of Michigan invites applications for the prize Leinweber Postdoctoral Fellowship. The candidate would conduct independent research in collaboration with LCTP members. Applicants with an interest in theoretical and computational projects relevant to galaxy formation, cosmological surveys, galaxy clusters, and large scale structure are particularly encouraged. LCTP Fellows have access to high-performance computational facilities on campus as well as opportunities to co-organize LCTP workshops in areas of interest. A budget for research and travel expenses is included.
The endowed LCTP Fellowship is hosted by the physics department. Michigan physicists are actively involved in the Vera C. Rubin Observatory’s Legacy Survey of Space and Time (LSST) and the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI). The department aims to provide an inclusive environment with faculty mentorship and activities that nurture scientific and professional growth.
