The Center for Theoretical Astrophysics and Cosmology (CTAC) at the University of Zurich invites applications for several PhD positions starting fall 2019.
Candidates are expected to carry out a vigorous research program under supervision of one of the faculty members (Professors Feldmann, Helled, Mayer, Moore, Saha, Stadel, Teyssier and Yoo). We are looking for applicants with scientific interests in one or more of the following fields: cosmology, galaxy formation, black hole astrophysics and gravitational wave sources, star formation, planet formation and planetary interiors. Candidates with a strong theoretical or computational background are especially encouraged to apply. A Master’s degree (or equivalent) is required at the starting date of the appointment.
