The Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center, a leading institute of the GeoPlanet Doctoral School, invites applications for PhD positions in astrophysics.
A wide range of topics is offered including stellar and relativistic astrophysics, astrophysics of compact stars, eclipsing binaries, novae, globular clusters, pulsating stars, gravitational waves, dark matter, astroparticle physics, planetary science and more. Description of all topics and contacts to prospective supervisors are given in the official announcement. Applicants should contact their potential supervisors to obtain more details on the proposed research topics.
PhD students in the doctoral school receive a scholarship paid either by the institute, or from the research grant. See the description of research topics on the announcement page for details.
