Responsibilities will include teaching multiple astronomy and physics courses at all levels in the curriculum, managing Teaching Assistants assigned to the courses, curriculum development, holding at least four office hours per week, and supporting various outreach activities within the department. In addition to teaching, a fraction of the appointment will be devoted to research and outreach (details subject to negotiation), which is expected to include undergraduate students.

The successful candidate will have, at a minimum, a Ph.D. in Astronomy or Physics with at least one year of teaching experience at the level of lecturer or above. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching ability at all levels in the curriculum, including the successful utilization of evidence-based teaching methods.
