Job Description

We invite applications for a postdoctoral position working with Professor Mark Krumholz and Associate Professor Roland Crocker's research group at the Australian National University. We welcome applicants working in theory and simulation related to cosmic rays and their interaction with the interstellar medium. Experience wtih large-scale numerical simulations is helpful but not required.

The position is for up to three years. Successful candidates will have access to both the school's 20-GPU, 1200-core cluster and to the group's large allocation on the National Computational Infrastructure, and will have approximately 30% of their time available to work on research projects of their choice. Starting dates are flexible, but ideally the successful applicant will be available by mid-2023.

Starting salary is AU$95,732 / year plus generous benefits such as a 17% superannuation contribution.
