Successful candidates will join an active research team and will be expected to play a leading role in answering key open questions in the areas of star formation, feedback, and ISM physics. One of the main goals of this PhD position is to characterise the environmental dependence of the matter cycle in galaxies.

Advanced English skills are a requirement. The position is for a period of 3 years. The starting date is expected to be in autumn 2022, but can be negotiated. The position is funded by the German Research Foundation according to the German public service scale (66% TV-L E13). Funds will be provided for travel, computing, and publications.

Interested candidates should apply by sending a single PDF file containing a motivation letter, CV, list of grades, publication list if applicable, and a brief (max. 1 page) summary of previous research to [email protected]. Applicants should also arrange for three letters of reference to be sent to the same email address.
