The Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics (KIAA) at Peking University invites applications for a postdoctoral research position. The successful applicant will be expected to work on projects of mutual interests with Prof. Qingjuan Yu in astrophysics, including topics on massive black holes, galactic dynamics, gravitational-wave astrophysics, galaxy formation and evolution, the large-scale structure, and encouraged to carry out independent and original research.
The appointment will be for two years, renewable for a third year subject to a performance evaluation and the availability of funding.
RANK: Postdoctoral fellow.
SALARY: Depending on qualifications and experience.
START DATE: September 1, 2019 or November 1, 2019.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in astronomy, physics, or related fields completed or expected by the effective date, and a demonstrated record of research excellence.
