Tenure-track positions in astrophysics at Zhejiang University

The physical department of Zhejiang University is now recruiting candidates as tenure-track faculty in all frontiers of astrophysics, from exoplanets to cosmology (from theoretical astrophysics to observational astronomy). Astrophysics is newly extension of its researches in physics. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in astrophysics with outstanding independent research records. The positions are open for all nationalities. Candidates are encouraged to apply through the BAIREN program of Zhejiang University or the Chinese government talent program. The salary and start-up grant of successful candidates will be highly competitive with subsidized housing. Applications require a letter of application, CV, research and teaching plans and at least three letters of recommendation to Prof Xi Kang ([email protected]). No solid deadline for application, but positions are limited.

Zhejiang University is one of the very top universities in both China and Asia region, located in Hangzhou city which holds the headquarters of E-commercial giant Alibaba. The physical department of ZJU was established in 1928 and has been playing a major role in the development of modern physics in China, with famous alumni including Tsung-Dao Lee and Kan-Chang Wang.
