The University of Notre Dame, Department of Physics, invites applicants to apply for a position as a postdoctoral scholar working with Professor Justin R. Crepp in experimental and observational astrophysics. Notre Dame is a partner with both the twin Keck Telescopes (http://www.keckobservatory.org/) and Large Binocular Telescope (http://www.lbto.org/index.htm). The successful applicant will work on projects involving technology development and the detection and study of extrasolar planets using the Doppler radial velocity method (iLocater), transit technique (TESS), and/or high-contrast imaging (TRENDS).
Qualifications include a PhD in physics, astronomy, or a related field, strong communication skills, and leadership qualities. Applicants with a background in instrumentation are also encouraged to apply. Support is available for three years although contingent upon performance. Base salary will be commensurate with experience. Funds for moving expenses are available.
