The Department of Physics at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position. Outstanding researchers with interests in observational or computational astrophysics or cosmology are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will have experience in the use of ground-based or space-based astronomical facilities, and can work with both undergraduate and graduate students on research projects of publishable quality. The preferred starting date for this position is August, 2019.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Physics or Astrophysics, at least two years of post-doctoral research experience, and a record of substantial research accomplishments. We seek a colleague who will also contribute significantly to the educational and service missions of the department. High quality teaching and mentoring is a high priority of the department.
