We invite applications for a postdoctoral research position funded by the ERC Consolidator Grant DEMOBLACK led by Michela Mapelli. The DEMOBLACK team investigates the formation channels of binary black holes.
Candidates with experience in computational astrophysics and/or software development (especially, but not only population synthesis and N-body codes) are encouraged to apply.

The starting date is flexible. Applicants must have a Ph.D. (in physics, astronomy, astrophysics, or equivalent degree), or are expected to obtain their Ph.D. by the time of the appointment. The appointment is for 2 years, with a possible 1-year extension. Gross salaries range approximately from 28000 to 45000 EUR/year (depending on experience), more than adequate for local costs of living. Generous travel funds are available.
