The Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center, a leading institute of the GeoPlanet Doctoral School, invites applications for PhD positions in astrophysics.

A range of topics is offered including stellar and relativistic astrophysics, X-ray astrophysics, eclipsing binaries, gravitational waves and search for dark matter.  Description of all topics and contacts to prospective supervisors are given in the official announcement. Applicants should contact their potential supervisors to obtain more details on the proposed research topics. The topics will be presented during The 5thMeeting of Young Astronomers at CAMK PAN, March 2-4, 2022 (on-line event). The candidates are encouraged to register for this event (there is no registration fee). 

PhD students in the doctoral school receive a scholarship for the period of 4 years, paid either by the institute, or from the research grant. See the description of research topics on the announcement page for details.
