Job Responsibilities:

The experimental high energy astrophysics group at Louisiana State University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher or Senior Postdoctoral Researcher. The group is currently participating in the analysis of terrestrial gamma flash (TGF) data from the ground-based TETRA-II experiment, gamma ray data from the Gamma ray Burst Monitor (GBM) experiment on Fermi, and data from the CALET cosmic ray experiment on the International Space Station. The successful candidate will be expected to take a lead role in one or more of these experiments, analyzing data, supervising graduate students, working with collaborators, presenting scientific papers and proposals and assisting LSU PI..

Minimum Qualifications:

(Postdoc and Senior Postdoc) Ph.D. in experimental astrophysics, experimental particle physics, or related discipline; (Senior Postdoc) three years postgraduate experience

Special or Physical Qualifications:

Good code development and data analysis skills; experience with C++, ROOT, GEANT 4, IDL, FITS; and/or cosmic ray and/or gamma ray instrumentation experience. Salary and level will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
