Job Description
MBA is seeking an individual to spearhead MBA's astronomy program. We seek someone preferably with an advanced degree in astronomy or who is interested in a postdoctoral experience to work with our academic program to create and implement an integrated curriculum of instruction and research in astronomy. Experience with curriculum development, science education or public outreach is beneficial. We are eager to find people who have worked with students ages 12 through 18, or who have expressed an interest in young people in realms like coaching or other activities. This is a full-time permanent position.
MBA is fortunate to have an advanced Observatory facility on a mountain property approximately an hour and a half from Nashville, near McMinnville Tennessee. We have a sophisticated telescope which can be remotely accessed from campus and the opportunity for someone to do some advanced work and research in the field of astronomy.
