SOFTWARE DEVELOPER: ASTRONOMICAL INSTRUMENTS

SAO has an interesting opportunity for an experienced software developer with a passion for astronomy. Join the technical team supporting the suite of advanced wide-field imagers and spectrographs developed by SAO scientists for use at the MMT Observatory, Arizona, and Magellan Telescope at Las Campanas Observatory, Chile. This position will provide computer software and systems administration support for existing instruments, and an opportunity to work on the development and implementation of software for new instruments at the cutting edge of technology.

The position is located in Cambridge, MA. Travel to the telescope sites is required.

Salary range: $75,222 - $97,787, depending upon experience.

U.S. citizenship is required.
