The astroparticle physics group at KTH in Stockholm has a vacancy for a PhD position. The successful applicant will join the group’s research in one of the areas of gamma-ray bursts, supernovae or active galaxies. The work will primarily involve analysis and modelling of observational data.
A suitable background for this position is a Master of Science in astronomy or physics. A relevant degree project and experience of data analysis would be advantageous. The applicant should enjoy working as a part of a team and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
The employment is four years with the possibility of extension up to five years. Up to 20 percent department duties, such as teaching, are included in the employment. The start date is flexible but the autumn of 2016 is preferred. More details about the position can be found in the link above.
