PhD Scholarship in Warsaw, Poland
Applications are invited for a PhD scholarship in the area of active galactic nuclei.
The succesful candidate will work with prof. Bozena Czerny on the research project "Quasar Main Sequence" (NCN No. 2015/17/B/ST9/03436) aimed to explain the physical nature of the most essential parameter responsible for the observed properties of the radio-quiet active galactic nuclei/quasars. The work will involve analysis and modelling of the observational data, some programming skills are welcome. The applicant's work will lead to a PhD degree. The succesful candidate will formally join the PhD School at the Institute of Physics but he/she will have individual course setup including astronomical lectures at the Copernicus Astronomical Center in Warsaw.
The appointment can start at October 1. Candidates must have a Master of Science degree in Physics or Astronomy by the date of appointment.
